Far Cry (Direct3D)

Far Cry is a FPS developed by German Crytek and the CryENGINE supports both OpenGL and Direct3D interfaces. For older graphic cards yhe game is very heavy due to different shaders used. In tests patch 1.3 was used making it possible to benefit with Shader Model 3.0 shaders and HDR effects (OpenEXR). Settings were on HQ and frame rates were measured with four (4) built-in timedemos. For comparison, Shader Model 2.0 and 3.0 were tested with 1024x768 resolution.

Colin McRae Rally 04 (Direct3D)

Colin McRae Rally 04 very captivating rally game in which gravel hits the skyes and plate bends like hell (at least if you don't know how to drive, editorial notice ;). In the test "USA" ss was played while frame rates were taken down with Fraps. Resolution was se to be 1024x768. Screen shots are WITHOUT AA, because antialising did not work with screen shots for some reason. So please notice that the picture quality is worse than in the game while playing.
